The total area of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
(TRNC) is 3,355 km². Approximately 400 km² are
designated as permanent no-hunting zones. An additional
110 km² are non-hunting areas due to residential centers,
and about 600 km² are inaccessible for hunting due to
irregular urban sprawl caused by unplanned development.
Roughly 15 km² have been lost to quarry operations, while
another 300 km² consist of forests or rugged terrain,
making hunting extremely dif cult or impossible. This
leaves approximately 1,080 km² where hunting is still
permitted. To ensure the safety of hunters operating
within this limited space, the Federation provides
comprehensive training and seminar programs.
